Advanced Adventure Medic®
 Advanced Adventure Medic® is the course
if you are a guide or leader embarking on a multi-day or "true" wilderness
adventure. The course covers all aspects of Wilderness Medical Association
guidelines and looks at basic pharmacology - commonly carried medications. This
programme is ACMG Approved, and is suitable
for professional ski patrollers (outside of B.C.)
Course Length: 80 hours
Course Price: $725 + GST
Re-Certification ( 40 hours) $450 + GST

• Airway management, including oropharyngeal
airways, use of BVM's, and suctioning

Heat injuries and dehydration, including oral re-hydration guidelines

• Bites and stings (for North American beasties!)
• Poisons and toxins
• Allergies and anaphylaxis, including use of an
Epi-pen

• Water and food borne illness, including
water purification techniques

distress, including use of an Epi-pen / Epinephrine for non-responsive
