Remote Responder®

Rocky Mountain Adventure Medicine's Remote Responder® programme is designed for the day adventurer or group member who recreates in a wilderness setting. The course is based on Standard First Aid principles with a focus on back-country situations, and features one day of outside scenario simulations.

Course Length: 24 hours

• Course Price: $275 + GST
  Re-Certification: $175 + GST

• Patient assessment
• Airway management

• Fractures
• Dislocations
• Head and facial trauma
• Spinal injuries
• Lightning
• Heat injuries and dehydration
• Cold injuries
• Bites, stings, poisons and toxins
• Allergies and anaphylaxis
• Drowning / near drowning
• Changes in level of consciousness
• Respiratory distress
• Cardiology
• Diabetes
• Outdoor first aid kits
• Bivouac skills
• Packaging and transportation

2008/2009 Dates:

Mar 10 & 12(6-10PM) and 14 & 15 ( Full days)

Re-Certification:  Mar. 11 & 12(eve), 15(day)

May 19, 21(6-10PM) and 23 & 24 (Full days)

Re-Certification: May 20 & 21(eve), 24(day)
